Major paradigm shifts to not occur every day. Even the expression ‘paradigm shift’ feels over-used, as it has been applied to changes that eventually fizzled out, or turned out to be less then earth-shattering after all. We do believe, however, that the shift towards the Open Internet Of Things is a true paradigm shift, and that underestimating its complexities, and far-reaching implications would be a mistake.
In order to confront the various views around the Internet Of Things, sensor networks, spimes, and the future they project, we have undertaken the task of meeting and interviewing people, who in our opinion have done much already to shape our understanding about these themes.
